Learning to Receive a Compliment

I…like many of you, have always had a hard time receiving a compliment.
I don't know. It's just always made me feel awkward and uncomfortable.
I remember someone saying that insecurity is false humility. I had to ponder that one for a while.

Anyways, Here I am in my mid-30s still awkward and weird when someone gives me a compliment. Learning to graciously say "Thank You", accepting it and believing it.

Hope this helps.

  1. I'm sure we all have that problem... We tend to think humility and brushing off the compliment is what we're SUPPOSED to do. I think it does something for one's self-esteem to accept and embrace the compliment. Thanks for bringing this to light. :)

  2. i've ALWAYS had this problem and still do my husband can't tell me anything. and for the most part has stopped trying cuz he know how I'll respond.
